The U.C.S. is designed to perform three basic tasks:

Video-microscopy using any personal camcorders for motion shots through the microscope.

Photomicroscopy using a 35mm SLR for still shots through the microscope. Our Brock Magiscope^® is specially designed for use with the U.C.S. unit though other straight tube microscopes could be used.

Copy stand. A copy stand is a device that allows cameras to be held properly in place over photos, artwork, or objects. Optional clamp-on lamps allow illumination for the camera to photograph or "copy" the piece beneth it. Used to reproduce photographs or text, it cn also be used on small objects using the "macro" setting on many lenses.

This is an extremely versatile piece of equipment with many uses. Use the U.C.S. as your low cost alternative to dedicated video systems. The durability of its constituents of solid maple, brass and aluminum make this product last a lifetime. This product has virtually no maintenance.
