Thank you for shopping at Brock Optical Magiscope. Because we specialize in authentic vintage items—including typewriters, binoculars, guitars, staplers, and pencil sharpeners—our products have lived a previous life and carry unique historical character.

Please read our policy carefully before completing your purchase to understand your rights and our obligations.

1. 14-Day Return Window

We want you to be completely satisfied with your vintage piece. We offer a 14-day return window from the date your tracking number shows the item was delivered.

  • To be eligible for a return, you must contact us and initiate the shipment back to us within this 14-day timeframe.

  • Items shipped after 14 days will not be accepted for a refund.

2. Condition of Vintage Returns

Vintage items are inherently delicate and are meticulously inspected, photographed, and documented before shipment.

  • To receive a full refund, the item must be returned in the same cosmetic and mechanical condition in which it was received.

  • It must include all original parts, accessories, cases, and specialized packaging that accompanied it.

  • We reserve the right to issue a partial refund or deny a refund entirely if an item is returned damaged, altered, or missing components.

3. Shipping Costs & Responsibilities

  • Customer Responsibility: Buyers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Shipping costs from the original purchase are non-refundable.

  • Packing Requirements: Vintage items require specialized care. You must pack the item with the same level of secure padding (bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or sturdy internal bracing) as it was received.

  • Shipping Insurance: We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee or issue a refund if the item is lost or broken in transit back to our shop.

4. How to Initiate a Return

5. Refunds and Processing

  • Once your return is received and inspected by our team, we will send you an email notifying you that we have received the item and whether your refund is approved.

  • Approved refunds will be processed automatically back to your original method of payment.

  • Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the credit to reflect on your account, depending on your financial institution's processing times.

6. Damaged or Defective Items (In-Transit)

  • If your vintage typewriter, guitar, or optical gear arrives damaged due to postal handling, please contact us immediately within 48 hours of delivery. Please provide detailed photos of both the damaged item and the exterior shipping box so we can file an insurance claim and resolve the issue for you right away.
